Conference Paper on “Virtual Reality-Based Electrocardiogram Training Simulator” was published in ICHCI!

A conferenced paper titled “A Participatory Design Approach to Develop a VR-Based Electrocardiogram Training Simulator” was published at the 15th International Conference, VAMR 2023 held as Part of the 25th HCI International Conference. The paper investigates the use of Virtual Reality (VR) in medical training simulators. VR enables full immersion in digital environments and is widely used across various fields, including the cost-effective and efficient training of healthcare professionals. A key challenge in VR simulation design is effectively integrating clinical feedback to enhance usability. This paper presents a pipeline developed to facilitate participatory design for creating a VR-based electrocardiogram (ECG) training simulator. Additionally, it discusses findings from usability, content validity, and face validity assessments of the simulator. The results suggest that this approach can be applied to the development and evaluation of other VR-based medical training simulators.
