Jay Patel is a graduate student at the Siebel School of Computing and Data Science, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, in the iCAN program. He works as a research assistant in the HXRI lab. He is currently working on an LLM-based VR nurse training simulator to enhance nurse training through VR immersive simulations in healthcare education. His main research interests are machine learning, virtual reality, and natural language processing.
